The Lute and Bobbi Olson Court at McKale Center hasn’t featured the historic cactus logo for more than a decade.
But the Arizona Wildcats are changing that heading into the 2025-26 school year.
The athletic department on Tuesday revealed a set of four court designs, showing the iconic cactus logo that was featured on the court starting in 1981. It was ultimately phased out altogether by 2013.

The school showed an inclination that it wanted to tap back into the well-liked logo featuring a saguaro cactus in front of a sun and mountain this past football season, when it was planted on a set of white helmets for an October game against Colorado.

Now, it’s back on the court in a few variations.
While three of the four designs — which fans can vote on — feature the cactus logo on two of the four wings, two place it more front and center.
One includes a silhouette of the full logo in the bottom half of the court lengthwise. Another has a green, blue and red version sitting a little lower below the Block A logo.
The colored version is wildly similar to a Photoshop project from Wildcat fan Alejandro Alvarez, who in October 2016 tweeted an image of the cactus logo on the Block A court. The only major difference is that Alvarez’s image didn’t have Big 12 logos sitting in the all-navy lanes.
