Jordan was famously photographed outside the Bulls’ arena before a huge 1992 Eastern Conference semifinals game.

Why was the photo famous? Well, the then-29-year-old was seated in a 1992 Ferrari 512 TR.

The supercar is a link to arguably the best basketball player of all time.

And the Ferrari’s reappearance has brought excitement to both the car enthusiast and the NBA world.

Jordan parted ways with the Ferrari in 1995 and found a new owner named Chris Gardner, whose life story became the basis for the film The Pursuit of Happyness.

However, the supercar was auctioned off in 2010 for approximately $100,00 and then seemed to vanish from the public eye.

But the Ferrari resurfaced as it was owned by a private collector who faced a serious battle with cancer after acquiring the vehicle.

Fortunately, the collector is now cancer-free and shared the car’s location with the vintage supercar dealership, CURATED, to authenticate the car’s history.

The full restoration is being done in Italy.

The 1992 Ferrari 512 TR is expected to be back on the market with an estimated price tag of close to $250,000.

Jordan’s Red 1992 Ferrari 512 was also rediscovered.

And it survived the deadly Los Angeles wildfires of 2024.

A clip detailed the story and showed a neighborhood where almost every house was destroyed, except for one.

The lone surviving house had Jordan’s red Ferrari in its garage and wasn’t touched by the fire.

Unfortunately for those who want to buy the iconic car, the current owner has made it clear he’s not selling.

The businessman revealed in a video interview that he plans to restore the Ferrari and then take it for a spin once it’s fully repaired.

The 1992 Ferrari 512 TR has been a symbol of Jordan’s status.

The 4.9-liter flat-12 engine generates over 420 horsepower and can drive from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds.

The car can reach speeds exceeding 190 mph.
