Punjab Kings, under head coach Ricky Ponting, have looked like a completely different team this time around. The Shreyas Iyer-led side has played a dominating brand of cricket and is one of the top teams going into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Ahead of the game, Ricky Ponting talked about the atmosphere in the team, saying that their good performances are the reason that they are in the top half of the table. You've seen in this tournament how good a player he is and his leadership has been outstanding. We've got no issues going forward."
