GREG ZUERLEIN is searching for a new team after being released by the New York Jets.

The NFL kicker struggled with both injuries and accuracy in a difficult 2024 season.

Zuerlein, 37, missed nine games with knee issues as the Jets limped to a ninth consecutive losing year.

The Green Gang have since hired Aaron Glenn and are prioritizing youth for 2025.

Veteran punter Thomas Morstead was shown the door last week.

And now its the turn of Zuerlein as the Jets target a complete revamp of the roster.

New York have created $2.4 million in salary cap savings by releasing ‘Greg the Leg’.

Zierlein converted 65 of 75 field goals (86.7 percent) in his first two seasons at MetLife.

But his production fell off a cliff last season, with the Jets now eager to go in a different direction.

They are left with kickers Anders Carlson and Caden Davis on the roster.

“Special place in my heart. Thank you Greg,” wrote one fan on X.

“His time In the NFL is over,” predicted another.

“They released both their vet special team players punter and kicker?” asked a third.

Zuerlein was selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the then-St Louis Rams.

He spent seven seasons with the franchise, achieving his only Pro Bowl appearance in 2017.

Zuerlein joined the Dallas Cowboys in 2020, penning a three-year, $7.5 million contract.

Since joining the NFL 13 years ago, Zuerlein has pocketed an impressive $25,296,437 in career earnings, per Spotrac.
