Peacock doesn’t always make it easy to pick a new movie to watch on the weekend, simply because the streamer doesn’t add a lot of new titles throughout the month.
This week is an exception, however, thanks to the arrival of Keanu Reeves‘ John Wick films. This is the first time that all four John Wick movies have been on a single streamer.
While it could be fun to simply catch those films in one sitting, the Watch With Us team has only selected a single John Wick flick for our lineup of the three underrated Peacock movies you need to watch this weekend.
Our other picks for the week include a relationship comedy/drama and a film that gave Zoey Deutch a chance to show off her comedic talents.
8 Must-Watch Movies on Peacock Right Now (May 2025)
‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ (2023)
It may feel like a stretch to include John Wick: Chapter 4 among the underrated movies, but this is the film’s first real venture into the streaming realm since its release two years ago. Since Peacock doesn’t usually hold on to its movies from outside studios, John Wick: Chapter 4 may not be staying for very long. Besides, do we really need an excuse to watch Keanu Reeves kick ass as his iconic character?
Despite recently announced plans to make John Wick: Chapter 5, this is the end of the story that began in the second film. John has taken his revenge on the High Table that rules the criminal underworld, and in return, the bounty on his head is significantly higher. Marquis Vincent Bisset de Gramont (Bill Skarsgård) has a mandate to do whatever it takes to put John six feet under, including blackmailing John’s friend, Caine (Donnie Yen), to come out of retirement to kill him. John and one of his last remaining friends, Winston Scott (Ian McShane), still have some cards to play. But if their latest gambit fails, John and Winston will share the same fate.

‘Permission’ (2018)
Mission: Impossible‘s Rebecca Hall and Dan Stevens star in the romantic dramedy Permission as Anna and Will, a couple who have been together for most of their lives. They were each other’s first lovers, and now they’re finally getting ready to tie the knot. Or they were until Will’s friend, Reese (Morgan Spector), had to open his big mouth and suggest that they see other people before they make a lifelong commitment to each other.
What’s New on Peacock in May 2025
To Will’s dismay, Anna is very receptive to the idea, especially given their very vanilla sex life. Before long, Anna is seeing a new guy named Dane (Francois Arnaud), while Will ends up in a surprising tryst with an older woman, Lydia (Gina Gershon). However, this relationship experiment may have gone too far, which could keep Will and Anna from ever getting back together again.

‘Buffaloed’ (2020)
Buffaloed is a crime comedy headlined by Zoey Deutch in what might be her funniest performance to date. Deutch plays Peg Dahl, a young woman obsessed with breaking out of her blue-collar hometown and striking it rich. She’s also a hustler and a bit of a con artist on the side, which earns Peg a stint in prison.
When Peg gets out, she finds her calling as a debt collector for a shady agency. She’s so good at getting money out of people that she starts her own agency and disrupts the local debt collection racket. Unfortunately for Peg, her former employers aren’t going to take her actions lightly. But if it’s a war they want, then Peg is more than willing to give it to them.
