JAYSON Tatum broke his silence on a devastating injury blow suffered this week.
The Boston Celtics superstar, 27, tore his Achilles in a horror moment during the playoffs.

The small forward needed to be helped off court and was seen in tears as he was wheeled away to the locker room.
Boston’s worst fears were realized when Tatum underwent an MRI scan.
He underwent surgery for his Achilles tear and now faces a long road to recovery.
The 27-year-old posted a photo on Instagram from his hospital bed Wednesday.
He gave a thumbs-up gesture with a full cast around his right foot.
“Thankful for all the love and support,” Tatum said in a brief statement.
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry led the tributes in the comments section.
“Get right big fella,” Curry wrote.
Another user wrote, “Get that rest champ.”
A third said, “The comeback will be legendary.”
And a fourth commented, “You can have my Achilles if you need it king.”
Tatum’s season is over and he is unlikely to play again before the end of the calendar year.
“The comeback will be greater than the setback,” the Boston Celtics wrote.
Tatum shared his update on Instagram just before Game 5 of the series against the New York Knicks.
Boston ran out 127-102 winners to keep their hopes alive.
Derrick White stepped up in Tatum’s absence to lead the team with 34 points.
The teams head back to Madison Square Garden for Game 6.
Boston is the defending champion having won an 18th title last summer.
The winner of the Knicks-Celtics series faces the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
