PARAMOUNT — Authorities sought the public’s help Wednesday in identifying a person of interest in a shooting in Paramount that critically wounded two women and two children.
Detectives from the Lakewood sheriff’s station were dispatched to the 7000 block of Sommerset Boulevard, east of the 710 Freeway and near Orange Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Saturday to reports regarding shots fired, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Two women, 22 and 44 years old, were taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition, along with a 10-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, authorities said.
Sheriff’s officials said Wednesday that the 22-year-old woman has since been released from the hospital.
A vehicle was seen fleeing the location following the shooting, but no description of the vehicle or a suspect was available.
