The Cardinals’ schedule release was a banger, just as advertised. Linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. showcased his considerable rap skills in a big-budget hype video that even came with merchandise.

LB Mack Wilson Sr. released the Cardinals' 2025 schedule in song form
It wasn’t Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl. But it was an impressive effort from a football player who performs under the name of “Rocketship.”
Still, it was the words that Wilson Sr. said about the Cardinals after a recent charity basketball game that really have people talking.
“I feel like we have no ceiling,” he told reporters over the weekend.
Bold stuff, even for this time of year. A year when they will finish 10-7 and make the playoffs as an NFC wild card.
Here’s how they get there:
Week 1: At New Orleans. The Cardinals debut against a bad team and possibly a rookie quarterback (Tyler Shough). Or maybe they’ll face Spencer Rattler. Either way, it’s a great chance for a beefed-up defense to make a statement. And for fans considering a weekend bender, check the weather forecasts. It’s peak hurricane season in New Orleans. Win.
Week 2: Home against Carolina. If there is no ceiling in Arizona, they will prove it by ending the Carolina curse. The Cardinals have lost seven of their last eight games against the Panthers, and the 2024 overtime loss might’ve been the most confounding of Jonathan Gannon’s career. Win.
Week 3: At San Francisco. From 2019-2023, the 49ers played a ton of football games. They appeared in 12 playoff games without winning a Super Bowl. The bill came due in 2024. But the 49ers had a lengthy offseason after last year’s last-place finish, and they will come out swinging. Loss.
Week 4: Home against Seattle. The Cardinals must regroup in short order when they face the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. But this is also personal, a grudge match against Sam Darnold, who rallied the Vikings to a dramatic win over the Cardinals in 2024. Win.
Week 5: Home against Tennessee. The Cardinals could face a second rookie quarterback in No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward. Win.
Week 6: At Indianapolis. Unlike Gannon, former Eagles coordinator Shane Steichen is on the hot seat in Nap Town. But quarterback Daniel Jones will be no match for Nick Rallis’ surging defense. Win.
Week 7: Home against Green Bay. This will be the most embarrassing scene of the season in Glendale. State Farm Stadium will be packed with Packers fans visiting from Wisconsin and Packers fans living in Arizona. You can tell the difference by the levels of sunburn. Loss.
Week 8: Bye. Maybe a bit earlier than you like?
Week 9: At Dallas. Kyler Murray returns to Texas for a Monday Night Football showdown. And Murray never loses in that stadium. Win.
Week 10: At Seattle. Cardinals get punched in the face after their emotional primetime win over America’s Team. Loss.
Week 11: Home against San Francisco. The Cardinals avenge an early-season loss to the 49ers. Win.
Week 12: Home against Jacksonville. Travis Hunter vs. Marvin Harrison Jr. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars stun the Cardinals. Loss.
Week 13: At Tampa. Late November is a great time to visit Florida. But the Cardinals will struggle and lose to Baker Mayfield. Loss.
Week 14: Home against Rams. After losing three of the previous four games, Kyler Murray takes a stand against critics who say he can’t win December. Win.
Week 15: At Houston. Murray stars again, outdueling C.J. Stroud. Win.
Week 16: Home against Atlanta. Murray posts his third consecutive victory, destroying narratives and outdueling Michael Penix Jr. Win.
Week 17: At Cincinnati. A tough place to play in late December, against the best quarterback on Arizona’s schedule. Joe Burrow prevails in a battle of MVP candidates. Loss.
Week 18: At Rams. Never a good place to end a season, and the Rams prevail in a showdown for the NFC West title. Loss.
