Egypt’s temperatures see significant drop in temperatures on Wednesday ...Egypt

News by : (EGYPT INDEPENDENT) -

Following a stormy day filled with sand and dust due to wind currents in the Western Desert, Egypt’s weather will return to calm, with temperatures dropping significantly by about seven degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects hot weather during the day on Wednesday in the north of the country, including northern Upper Egypt, while it will be very hot in southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai.

Nighttime temperatures will be moderate, with mild, cool spring breezes in the late evening.

The weather will witness moderate winds in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the Suez Canal cities, with speeds of 28 km/h.

The northwestern and eastern coasts and northern Upper Egypt expected to experience light rainfall with active winds reaching 30 km/h.

Meanwhile, in South Sinai, the Red Sea mountain ranges, southern Upper Egypt, and the Western Desert, active winds are expected to potentially stir up sand and dust in the Red Sea Governorate, with winds reaching 36 km/h.

The EMA advises avoiding direct exposure to the sun, especially during the afternoon, wearing light-colored cotton clothing, drinking plenty of water, and keeping windows tightly closed in governorates experiencing active winds that stir up sand and dust.
