Aims Community College will honor its spring graduates this week with 508 students participating in ceremonies in Greeley.
The college will celebrate its graduates during ceremonies at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday at the Welcome Center Auditorium in Greeley.
The University of Northern Colorado hosted its graduation weekend this past weekend.
The ceremony for Aims students in Allied Health and Wellness, public safety and education and transportation begins at 11 a.m. At 3 p.m. is the ceremony for students in arts and sciences as well as business and technology.
This year’s graduates range in age from 15 to 64 years old, according to Aims. The college said 1,156 students will graduate or potentially graduate this spring with 1,826 students receiving credentials or potentially earning credentials.
For the first time, Aims will award bachelor’s degrees this year. Three students will receive bachelor of applied science degrees in public safety. The college will also award 337 associate of arts degrees, 65 associate of science degrees, 30 associate degrees in general studies, 185 associate of applied science degrees and 1,206 certificates.
Doors open to guests 90 minutes before the ceremonies. Tickets are required for the in-person ceremonies, and seating is available on a first-come,-first-served basis.
A livestream will be available.
Aims has a clear-bag policy for guests attending commencement ceremonies. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items following a thorough inspection.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to purses larger than a small clutch bag, briefcases, backpacks and computer bags.
