Mark Cuban offered a four-word reaction as the Dallas Mavericks shockingly won the 2025 NBA Draft lottery.
Despite entering the night with just a 1.8 percent chance of landing the top pick, that’s exactly what the NBA franchise did.

The events of Monday night have already seen some fans call out the NBA for ‘scripted drama’.
As news of the lottery win was confirmed, Cuban, a former principal owner and current minority owner of the Mavs, shared his verdict.
“Unreal. OMFG. Let’s Go Mavs,” he posted on X.
Cuban then followed up with a simple, four-word message as he struggled to contain his excitement.
“Oh my f***ing God!!!” he wrote.
According to The Dallas Morning News, Cuban was updating Mavericks governor Patrick Dumont during Monday night’s draft lottery, as the latter couldn’t watch it live.
Cuban first called Dumont when Dallas were selected to be in the top four picks. Then, he called back when the Mavericks got the No. 1 selection.
However, Dumont said he couldn’t exactly tell whether Dallas had landed the top pick, as Cuban was too busy screaming.
The minority owner, of course, wasn’t the only person in the Mavericks organization who was delighted by the lottery on Monday night.
Embattled general manager Nico Harrison wildly celebrated with other members of the front office in a video shared by the team.

Dallas received a relatively light return for their superstar in the form of Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and LA’s 2029 first-round pick.
Harrison has since said he miscalculated how much love the fanbase had for Doncic in a baffling admission, but he still believes it was the right move for building a championship contender.
If Flagg ends up becoming the franchise star that so many expect, those chances will be further boosted.
The Doncic trade will no doubt continue to bring plenty of heat from Mavericks fans, but Harrison is a GM with a new lease of life after the draft lottery win.

The San Antonio Spurs — with back-to-back rookies of the year in Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle — will pick second in 2025, while the Philadelphia 76ers will pick third, and the Charlotte Hornets fourth.
Flagg, who stands at 6-foot-9, has been considered the front-runner to be the top pick in this year’s draft since August 2023, when he announced his decision to graduate high school a year early and enrol in college at 17.
With Duke, he exceeded lofty expectations by averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists. He also led the Blue Devils to a Final Four appearance last season.
“I don’t know who we’re going to take, but should we take him, I think his resume is pretty strong,” Mavericks CEO Rick Welts said of Flagg on Monday night, as he clutched an envelope with the number one printed on it.
“Every time he’s put in a situation that everyone wondered if he could succeed, he’s succeeded and then some.”
The 2025 NBA Draft will take place on June 25-26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
