However, the pair will be leaving when the season ends with Ancelotti set to take up a new role in charge of Brazil’s national team.

Philippe Clement was sacked by the Gers in February before as they fell behind arch rivals Celtic for the Premiership title.

Barry Ferguson has acted as interim head coach since, with Rangers now eyeing a new permanent appointment.

As talkSPORT previously reported, Steven Gerrard is a name being considered for the job.

The Liverpool legend won the Scottish Premiership title as the club’s manager in 2021, stopping Celtic from claiming ten league championships in a row, before moving to Aston Villa later that year.

Gerrard, who left Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq in January, is very keen to return to the dugout.

Former Southampton boss Russell Martin is also keen on the job, with Ryan Mason and Rob Edwards also on the shortlist at Rangers.

Davide has worked alongside his father in coaching roles at several clubs but may not be joining him in South America.

Should Davide be appointed at Ibrox, this would be his first job in charge of a team.

Davide first worked under his father in 2012, working as a fitness coach at Paris Saint-Germain.

A year later Ancelotti Sr moved to Real Madrid with his son following him to work as an assistant to the fitness coach.

Davide then received his UEFA A coaching licence in 2016 and followed his dad to Bayern Munich, where he worked as his assistant boss.

He then served as assistant at Napoli during the 2018/19 season before moving to England where Ancelotti Sr was Everton boss between 2019-2021.

Davide then went back to Madrid in the summer of 2021, this time as assistant manager to his dad, obtaining his UEFA Pro Licence in July 2023.

It could be a summer of change for both members of the family as Carlo is set to leave Madrid.
