The SEC completed its penultimate week of the 2025 college baseball regular season, and now it’s time to honor the top performers. The conference announced a trio of top players on Monday for Week 13.
Auburn’s Eric Guevara is the SEC Player of the Week. Guevara led the league in average (.800), hits (12), total bases (22) and on-base percentage (.813) as Auburn achieved a sweep of South Carolina. Guevara is the first player with 12 hits in a conference series since Tanner Allen (Mississippi State) against, interestingly enough, South Carolina in 2019.
Mississippi State’s Evan Siary is the Pitcher of the Week in the SEC. Siary played a key role in MSU’s series win over rival Ole Miss. After the Rebels took the series opener, Siary went 8 scoreless innings in Game 2, striking out 15 Rebels on 98 pitches without issuing a walk as Mississippi State evened the series with a 4-1 win. Siary’s 15 Ks are the most for an SEC pitcher in a conference contest this season.
Another pitcher, Florida’s Aidan King, is the SEC Freshman of the Week. In the rubber game against a top-ranked Texas team in Austin, King tossed 7 shutout innings in a 4-1 Florida victory to take the series. He gave up just 2 hits, striking out 9 while walking only 3.
SEC teams will play their final weekend series of the 2025 season over Thursday-Saturday.
