THE Kansas City Chiefs have been tipped to feature in a marquee slot on the NFL schedule.

Kansas City has grown used to featuring in a slot reserved for the Super Bowl winners.
Three times in the last five years the kickoff game has taken place at their Arrowhead Stadium home.
But this year’s kickoff fixture will take place in Philadelphia.
The Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX.
And they will face NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener on Thursday 4 September.
According to reports, the Chiefs will still feature in a prime time Week 1 game.
They are being lined up to head to Brazil for a Friday night division showdown.
The Los Angeles Chargers have already been confirmed as the home team for that game.
And an AFC battle with the Chiefs is a possibility.
The NFL is also reportedly in talks for a historic broadcast move involving that fixture.
YouTube could stream the game for free across the globe – a first ever.
Kansas City will likely have plenty of prime time games in 2025 as they bid to reach a fourth straight Super Bowl.
One spot where they may not feature is Christmas Day.
They played the Pittsburgh Steelers on the holiday last year in a game streamed globally on Netflix.
And Kansas City asked the league if they could be part of a regular Christmas tradition.
Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed the request from the Chiefs during an interview on the Pat McAfee Show.
That would follow the Thanksgiving tradition, where the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions always play a home game.
“The Chiefs want to play every Christmas,” Goodell said.
“I don’t think we’ll do that – we’ll rotate those games.”
