Dawid Malan hints at IPL's UAE return if peace doesn’t prevail between India and Pakistan

Dawid Malan was quoted as saying by Al Arabiya, “If it doesn’t happen in India or Sri Lanka in a week’s time like that, I suppose they will start in September. They have a massive Test series coming up against England in a few months’ time, and the IPL has to finish before that or start after that; logistically, it is quite a headache for the organizers. I guess they have to wait and see how next week plays out in terms of the safety concerns of players and people of both countries.”

Dawid Malan names India and UAE as the only options to resume IPL 2025

According to sources, IPL franchises discussed the idea of sending overseas players and support staff to a nearby country for safety. But with no clear sign of the tournament restarting soon, they decided it was better to send everyone home for now.

Although the BCCI has asked teams to keep all players and staff ready, as the tournament could resume within a week if the situation improves.
