Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Friday relieved senior IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav from his current responsibilities from the State Government, enabling him to take new assignment at the Centre.
Yadav will be joining his new assignment as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, New Delhi.
He is currently serving as Principal Secretary to State Government, Works Department with additional charge of Commissioner, Trade Promotion and Investment and Member Secretary, Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes.
“In pursuance of Order No.36/02/2025-EO(SM-I) dated 18.04.2025 of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, Vir Vikram Yadav, IAS (OD: 1996) at present Principal Secretary to Government, Works Department with additional charge of Commissioner, Trade Promotion and Investment and Member Secretary, Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes is relieved from the State Government w.e.f. 09.05.2025(AN) to enable him to join his new assignment as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, New Delhi”, an official notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department said.
