It’s a season of change for Sutton Stracke and her former assistant Avi Gabay.
On Tuesday, May 6, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 53, confirmed she is no longer working with Avi for undisclosed reasons.
“We’re still friends. I love Avi, he’s like family but he’s no longer working with me,” Sutton explained on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. “Everything was working out. It’s just, things evolve and he’s no longer with me.”
Avi appeared on various episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and became a fan favorite with his side comments and facial expressions.

While Sutton explained to Jeff Lewis that Avi was an “independent contractor,” she stayed mum on whether he was fired or quit.
“We haven’t really spoken,” she explained when asked if Avi got another assistant job. “I’m about to just live by myself in my house. So, things have just evolved, and it’s different now.” (Us Weekly has reached out to Avi for comment)

“Avi is my assistant, but also house manager,” she said before he jokingly interrupted the conversation and added, “Property Manager, Head of Operations, My everything.”
According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Avi’s Instagram bio previously stated he was “Executive Property Manager for Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Sutton Stracke.” Now, it’s simply listed as “Executive Property Manager.”

During his experience filming for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Avi was able to get close to Jennifer Tilley and Garcelle Beauvais.
When marking Garcelle’s birthday in November 2023, Avi posted a video tribute on Instagram writing, “Happy Birthday to this amazing, strong and positive woman !!! Cheers my dear.”
In March, Garcelle announced some professional changes of her own when she confirmed she was leaving the Bravo show after five years.

While working for Sutton, Avi didn’t handle all of the tasks alone. He also had the help of Sutton’s assistant Joshua Roberts.
While it’s unclear if Joshua still works for Sutton — his Instagram bio states he’s a digital creator — he appeared to work well with Avi.

If Avi didn’t have the opportunity to work with Sutton, he may not have realized the gift of having dogs as a pet.
“Whoever thought I’ll fall in love with another beautiful puppy, @suttonstracke has truly opened my heart in loving animals,” he wrote via Instagram in July 2023. “Welcome to the family #BabyJunebugcash. #uncleAvi will take care of you always and forever .”

Out of all the tasks Avi performed over the years with Sutton, nothing could prepare him for his boss’s housewarming party. As documented on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton invited her costars to her Bel-Air home for a gathering. When Lisa Rinna requested flip-flops for the grassy backyard, Avi sprang into action.
“Gosh this was a very exciting day for me!!” Avi wrote via Instagram in July 2022. “Had so much fun prepping the house from the poinsettias upfront to the garden table scape … Anyone else needs a pair of ‘Boots’ ??”
