Earthquake in East Bay Thursday felt near Fremont ...Middle East

(KRON) -- A preliminary magnitude 2.9 earthquake struck the East Bay at 8:17 a.m. Thursday morning. The quake's epicenter was less than 1 mile east of Union City and about 3 miles north-northwest of Fremont, according to the United States Geological Survey.

There were no initial reports of damages or injuries related to the quake.
