TRADER Joe’s is a hotspot for foodies who can grab unique snacks and fun kitchen staples.

But sometimes, even a fan favorite can get discontinued from the store.

And when the Unsalted Dry Toasted Slivered Almonds seemed to be missing from the shelves, many fans were left upset.

The kitchen staple was perfect as a snack on its own or used in baking and on top of oatmeal.

Trader Joe’s bosses say: “Made using the same, Central California-grown Almonds that we sell whole, our supplier takes the extra step of dry toasting these Almonds to crunchy perfection.

“Heating them up just enough to make them pliable for slicing without shattering, then cuts them into thin, aesthetically pleasing slivers.

“It’s almost impossible to cut almonds into slivers this regular and uniform at home, using regular kitchen tools, which makes our Slivered Almonds all the more convenient.”

Customers couldn’t agree more, which made them all the more devastated when the $3.49 buy was discontinued.

But now shoppers are suspicious that the item is coming back to stores soon.

Liz Kutryb took to social media, asking: “Are the unsalted dry toasted slivered almonds coming back?”

Fans of the product were quick to respond on the Facebook group, Trader Joe’s Discontinued, with many claiming they had also heard the news.

One person wrote: “Same question.”

Rumors have been swirling for weeks and one person even revealed they had heard it would be back as early as this month.

Another commented: “Yes.”

“Supposed to return May 15th,” penned a third.

Someone else added: “Sometimes TJ’s products are just on back order. Be sure to check in with your store’s manager to be certain it is truly discontinued. Hope this helps.”
