Denver had no issue coming to terms with seventh-round rookie tight end Caleb Lohner, sixth-round punter Jeremy Crawshaw, and third-round wide receiver Pat Bryant.
Lohner agreed on a four-year deal worth $4.309M, which was first reported by Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette. Lohner will receive a $109,488 signing bonus and will count only $867,372 towards the Broncos’ 2025 salary cap.
According to Spotrac, the Broncos currently have $17.3M in cap space, which is bound to change as they negotiate deals for the remainder of their rookie class, and it could increase in space if Denver finds a way to extend Courtland Sutton, Zach Allen, John Franklin-Myers, or Nik Bonitto before the season.
Lohner is an exciting developmental prospect to watch for and is widely viewed as a low-risk, high-reward type of player. His 6’7, 250-pound size is a likeable trait, but he’s also athletic and physical.
Crawshaw will head into training camp with the likely advantage in competition with veteran Matt Haack.
Bryant agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $6.5M with a $1.4M signing bonus, as first reported by 9News Mike Klis.
The only players Denver has left to negotiate deals with are Jahdae Barron, RJ Harvey, Sai’vion Jones, and Que Robinson.
We’ll get our first look at the Broncos rookie class, tryout players, and undrafted rookies on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as rookie minicamp takes place.
