Geopolitical tension between India and Pakistan is set to hamper cricket tournaments, including PSL and IPL, in both nations. Meanwhile, two Bangladeshi players—leg-spinner Rishad Hossain (Lahore Qalandars) and fast bowler Nahid Rana (Peshawar Zalmi)—are actively involved in the PSL 2025 season.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the BCB said that it is working to ensure proper security arrangements for Bangladeshi cricketers currently participating in the PSL 2025.

The Bangladesh cricket team's upcoming five-match T20I series in Pakistan, scheduled to begin on May 25, is under serious doubt. Following India’s recent airstrike – “Operation Sindoor” – Pakistan is reportedly preparing for possible retaliation, which has raised security concerns in the region.
"We are really working on the current situation (as far as going to Pakistan for the T20I series) and it can wait for another three to four days," said Faruque. "Let's see how it progress but at the moment our main concern is regarding the two players (Nahid Rana and Rishad Hossain) who are currently in Pakistan playing in the PSL."

However, he emphasized that the final decision on whether players stay in India or Pakistan for the tournaments will be up to the players themselves.
