talkSPORT has secured former England and Australia coach Eddie Jones as part of its all-star line up for the network’s exclusive audio coverage of the British & Irish Lions tour of Australia next month.
He’ll be joined by British & Irish Lions heavyweights Ben Kay, Ireland’s Gordon D’Arcy and Wales’ Alex Cuthbert, as well as rugby legends Scotland’s Jim Hamilton, England’s Rocky Clark and Aussie Matt Giteau, bringing the experience and expertise of a sum total of three British & Irish Lions tours and 459 test caps between them.

We’ll bring you action straight from the Lions camp for the whole tour via on air and socials.
Former Lion and England international Kay will be co-commentating, alongside talkSPORT’s Alfie Reynolds, Andrew McKenna, Shebahn Aherne and Hugh Woozencroft.

The Lions squad will be announced on Thursday (May 8) and talkSPORT will be live at The O2 bringing you all the news, interviews and reaction.
The three test matches will take place on 19 July in Brisbane, 26 July in Melbourne, with the final test taking place on 2 August in Sydney.
The six pre test matches are as follows: 20th June v Argentina in Dublin, 28 June v Western Force, 2 July v Queensland Reds, 5 July vs NSW Waratahs, 9 July v ACT Brumbies, 12 July v Invitational AU & NZ.
It’s the fourth British & Irish Lions tour talkSPORT have covered exclusively, building on the success of broadcasts from Australia (2013), New Zealand (2017) and South Africa (2021).
Jones is currently the head coach of the Japan national teamGettyAustralian Jones previously spent seven years as England head coach between 2015 and 2022.
During that time, he won the Six Nations three times, including a Grand Slam in 2016.
Jones also guided England to the final of the 2019 Rugby World Cup where they were beaten by South Africa.
The 65-year-old is now in his second spell in charge of Japan, having also returned to coach his native Australia again in 2023.
His extensive knowledge of Australian rugby goes back further too having first coached their national team between 2001 and 2005.
His Australia A side also beat the Lions 28-25 on the 2001 tour, which was the only team to beat the tourists on that trip besides the Wallabies.
