Annual Weld County Fallen Officer Memorial returns May 15 to Bittersweet Park ...Saudi Arabia

The Weld County Sheriff’s Office will host its annual Fallen Officer Memorial during Police Week.

The Weld County Fallen Officer Memorial, honoring the legacies of fallen officers across the nation, will take place 6 p.m. May 15 at Bittersweet Park in Greeley, according to a sheriff’s office release. The event falls during Police Week, observed May 11-17.

Those who attend the memorial can anticipate a reading of the 165 names of law enforcement officers who “made the ultimate sacrifice” in 2024, the release said.

The sheriff’s office encourages the community to attend to “pay tribute to, appreciate and support those brave men and women and their families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty,” according to the release.
