PHILADELPHIA Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts earns tens of millions a year, but his lifestyle is a humble one.

The Super Bowl 59 MVP currently lives in a low-key home, despite signing a $255 million contract in 2023, and has four tips for those who want to save money.

Hurts entered the NFL in 2020 as a second-round pick and was named the full-time starter during his second campaign.

He earned a Pro Bowl in the following two seasons and was awarded a five-year contract extension for $255 million, making him the highest-paid player in league history at the time.

Fast forward to 2025, and Hurts is now a Super Bowl winner, but he continues to live in a $ 2,000-a-month apartment in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, a 20-minute drive from Philadelphia.

Hurts revealed the purchase in a 2021 interview with GQ.

“I didn’t buy a house or anything like that when I got drafted because it was just me,” he said in 2021.

“I didn’t need this big place just for myself. I just got me a little apartment.

“You know, something smooth that’ll last me for the time being.”

Hurts also provided money-saving tips to the world.

And one of his top recommendations? Hire a financial advisor.

Hurts believes the decision is helpful for anyone who wants to be wise with their money.

“There are tons of ways you can save money. Instead of buying a brand new car, cause it depreciates as soon as you get off the lot, you can buy a used car or lease a car,” he said.

“Instead of going out to eat at these five-star restaurants, you can simply cook at home, or a person like me, Imma take me a few to-go plates from the facility.”

Hurts also thinks people should switch to more affordable phone plans that offer the same benefits as big carriers at a fraction of the price tag.

The Alabama product also recommends a different avenue for yard work.

Instead of hiring a professional landscaper, Hurts believes in hiring local neighborhood kids.

The latter route gives young people a chance to earn money – something that Hurts himself once did growing up.

Hurts’ NJ apartment in New Jersey, which features three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a two-car garage, has since been updated with a more luxury interior.

He has entered the real estate market in Texas and bought a model home for his parents.

And once he got his mega contract, Hurts purchased a large 1950s 6,000-square-foot mansion that features six large bedrooms, six bathrooms, a large swimming pool, and two garages.

The mansion is worth $6 million, and he is also said to have purchased the house next door for $2.68 million.
