Jamie Carragher has warned Trent Alexander-Arnold that he has lost the ‘unconditional support’ of Liverpool fans.
Alexander-Arnold announced on Monday morning that he will leave the Reds at the end of the season.

Some Liverpool fans have been vocal in their anger over his decision, especially when he looks set to leave on a free transfer.
And club legend Carragher believes Alexander-Arnold has become a rival to the Reds by making his pending switch to Madrid.
Writing in a column for The Telegraph, the former centre-back spoke on his previous experience of a potential move away from the Reds.
Carragher didn’t think any club was ‘bigger’ than Liverpool, insisting: “As a Scouser, for me it does not get any bigger or better.”
He then warned Alexander-Arnold of the potential reception he could receive should he return to Anfield in the future.
“I love seeing a Liverpool-born lad doing so well he will play for Real Madrid,” he said.
“Part of me thinks ‘well done’ but the competitive element in me also thinks swapping Liverpool red for Real Madrid white means he has chosen to become a rival.
“It means the next time he is at Anfield he will receive the same treatment as Luis Suarez when he returned to Merseyside in a Barcelona shirt.
“With Monday’s statement, the unconditional support Alexander-Arnold enjoyed from the Kop when he was fully committed to Liverpool has gone. It has to be this way at the biggest clubs.

Alexander-Arnold revealed the news of his exit with an emotional post on social media.
“This is easily the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my life,” he said.
The defender’s contract expires on June 30 and he is then expected to join Madrid by signing a five-year deal.
talkSPORT understands Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes made a new deal for Alexander-Arnold his number one priority when he joined in June 2024 after the appointment of Arne Slot.
The contract offers were significant and there is an acknowledgment that the move isn’t about money.

The Reds then travel to Brighton before hosting Crystal Palace on the final day of the season in what is set to be his last match for the club.
