If you have a green thumb and love to plant things, then this time of year is probably one of your favorites. Even though you may reuse your planters year after year, sometimes you need (or want, we don’t judge) a new one. And this coming week, Aldi is dropping some large, stylish planters that are perfect for bigger gardening projects. Plus, they look a lot like At Home, Lowe’s and Amazon styles that are 16 times the price. From May 7 to May 13, Aldi will be selling a Belavi 20 Inch Planter for $12.99, which you’ll be able to find in the Aldi Finds aisles of local U.S. stores. Belavi 20 Inch Planter, $12.99 at Aldi
While Aldi’s site doesn’t share the other dimensions of the planter, like its height, we do know that it comes in four different colors: cream, gray, dark rose and green. The cream and gray colors are very similar while the dark rose and green are perfect dark springtime hues.
All of the colors are speckled in some way, though the gray is less so than the others. The dark rose and green colors have light specks all over, while the cream has darker spots. White Sanded Outdoor Planter, Medium, $29.99 at At Home
Aldi’s Belavi planter is pretty stylish, but it does look like some other planters out there on the market, like At Home’s White Sanded Outdoor Planter. The medium size costs $29.99 and measures 19.8 inches in diameter and 15.1 inches tall, making it a similar size to the Belavi planter. Even though it looks like it’s made of stone, it’s made out of plastic (like Aldi’s, which appears ceramic thanks to its glossy outside).
Round Extra Large White Mixed/Composite Indoor/Outdoor Planter Attached Saucer by MPG Planters, $211.86 at Lowe's
Then there’s MPG Planters’s Round Extra Large White Mixed/Composite Indoor/Outdoor Planter, which costs $211.86 at Lowe's. It has an attached saucer, unlike the two we’ve mentioned so far, and is made from a blend of “natural stone, resin and fiberglass,” not plastic. It measures 20.5 inches in diameter and weighs 22 lbs. This one has a speckled, stone outside and a beveled lip, so it’s not far off from Aldi’s.
