(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- Good evening and happy Saturday!
It has been a stormy afternoon and evening across the Carolinas with more expected overnight before pleasant weather moves in heading into next week. Along with the cooler temperatures, we should see noticeably lower humidity before potential showers move in towards the end of the week.
As for tonight and your Sunday, scattered showers and storms are expected later this evening as well with some of those storms potentially being on the strong or severe side as well with damaging winds being the primary concern. The wet weather should clear out by the early morning hours on Sunday with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon and highs in the upper 70s.
Heading into the new week we are tracking some wonderful weather on the way for the region with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 70s through the middle of the week. Along with sunshine, we should be able to enjoy some lower humidity as well. Later in the week and heading into next weekend a stalling upper-level low to our west will help to push in some potential showers starting Thursday, becoming more numerous once we get to Saturday. The stalling upper-level low will also help to keep our highs under the 80-degree mark all week long.
So, if you want some cooler temperatures, you'll love the upcoming week!
Have a great night!
