Despite it being allergy season, you might risk it all for a chance to sit outside in nice weather, especially if you spent the last several months in a cold place. And, luckily, Aldi is dropping an outdoor item that is perfect for days on your porch or in your backyard. Yep, they’re dropping a lovely rattan bench and it looks a lot like World Market, CB2 and Wayfair styles that are over eight times the price. From May 7 to May 13, Aldi will be selling the Belavi Rope Effect Rattan Bench for $49.99 in the Aldi Finds aisles of local U.S. stores. The back two legs are sort of angled backward while the front legs are straight. The seat is made of rattan that’s tightly woven together, while the back has an arched design with rattan covering the edges and creating a rope effect design. Rattan and wicker-like materials are very in right now, especially when it comes to outdoor furniture, so it’s no surprise that there are other benches out there that are similar to Aldi’s. For instance, World Market sells their exclusive Camden Rounded Natural All Weather Wicker Outdoor Bench, which currently costs $299.99. It’s not exactly the same as Aldi’s; this one has a more complex design with rounded arms and angles. Plus it’s made of wicker and is a lighter tan color. But it’s still pretty close in concept.
Ixtapa 53" Black Outdoor Loveseat, $424 (originally $499) at CB2
Then there’s the Ixtapa 53" Black Outdoor Loveseat at CB2 which currently costs $424 (it was originally $499). It’s closer in design to the World Market bench, with its rounded arms. Plus this is made with PVC cord, so it’s neither rattan nor wicker. But it has that rope effect that Aldi’s has and, again, it’s still pretty similar.
