The SEC baseball slate is entering the final stretch of the regular season, and Texas A&M and LSU were scheduled to begin a crucial 3-game series on Friday night in Bryan-College Station. However, that series will not begin with a traditional Saturday doubleheader.
Severe weather has been moving through the area on Friday, and the Aggies announced that the series opener is being postponed. Game 1 of the series will now start at 2 pm on Saturday, followed by Game 2 an hour after the conclusion of Game 1. Sunday’s series finale is still set for 1 pm as of this time.

This weekend’s series will be the 3rd straight for the Aggies against a top-2 team in the country after previously beating No. 2 Arkansas (2 games to 1) and getting swept by No. 1 Texas last weekend.
On the flip side, LSU is up to No. 2 in the country after riding series wins over Alabama and Tennessee. The Tigers are once again among the top contenders for the College World Series after winning the 2023 title and getting eliminated in Super Regionals last year.
Overall, there are just 3 regular-season series left before we reach the SEC Baseball Tournament, so teams are running out of time to improve their seeding and make a push for the postseason.
