Eight years after a fatal shooting in Denver, the death of 27-year-old Jonathan Morehead remains unsolved.
Just after 11 p.m. on April 27, 2017, Denver officers responded to reports of a shooting near East 16th Avenue and Uinta Street in the city’s East Colfax neighborhood. That’s when they found Morehead’s body.
The Denver Police Department is still searching for a suspect eight years later and is asking the public for help.
“Despite many years of investigative efforts, this crime remains unsolved,” officials wrote in a crime alert.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or submit a tip online. Tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 and can remain anonymous.
