If you’re someone who doesn’t like wearing dresses in the winter because you can’t stand your legs being cold (even with tights), it’s your time to shine: spring and summer dress season is upon us! While you can find affordable dresses at several different retailers, Aldi is dropping some dresses this week that are definitely less expensive than others out there. One option, in particular, looks a lot like Banana Republic and Maisonette styles that cost up to 33 times the price of Aldi’s. Serra Hybrid Dress, $14.99 at Aldi
On Aldi’s site this dress is called a “Hybrid Dress Tank,” describing the tank top-esque upper portion. It’s semi-fitted and has a scoop neck along with a shelf bra that has removable pads. Then it has some ruching around the waist before you get to the gathered, flowy skirt on the bottom.
This dress comes in two colors: green and black. The green is a lovely olive green while the other dress is a solid, standard black. Both colors have the exact same fabric makeup, though. The top and skirt are made of 86% recycled polyester and 14% spandex, so it’s pretty stretchy. And the mesh bran lining is made of 95% polyester and 5% spandex. Drop-Waist Midi Dress, $99.99 (originally $150) at Banana Republic
The olive green Aldi dress is similar to other styles out there, including Banana Republic’s Drop-Waist Midi Dress, which is currently on sale for $99.99 (it was originally $150). It has a similar tank top bodice with a gathered skirt that flows down. There are some distinct differences though, like this one having a square neck and a dropped waist.
