Jarquez Hunter finally got Auburn on the board in this weekend’s NFL Draft in Green Bay.
The running back who was first-team All-SEC in 2024 was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth round of the draft on Saturday afternoon. The Rams coveted Hunter so much that they traded up 10 spots in that fourth round with the Indianapolis Colts to grab Hunter.
Los Angeles took Hunter with the No. 117 overall pick. In order to move up those 10 spots from the No. 127 spot, the Rams traded the Colts that 127th pick as well as the 190th overall pick.
Hunter was the first Auburn player to be selected in the 2025 draft, with it taking until Day 3 for the Tigers to have one of their talents come off the board. The Auburn football social media account made a little play on words for the occasion, celebrating Hunter’s selection with the headline “Hollywood Hunter,” referring to the player who spent 4 years on the Plains now heading to Los Angeles to start his pro career.
