The 2024 college football season was a true year of ups and downs for Jalen Milroe at Alabama.
From compiling 4 total touchdowns in a win over Georgia to tossing 3 interceptions in a disastrous loss to Oklahoma, this past year produced a bit of everything for Milroe. That led to a cloudy NFL Draft picture for the dynamic athlete.
On the positive side, Milroe is viewed by many as a generational talent with the ball in his hands. That kind of playmaking ability is hard to find at the quarterback position, though concerns about his raw skill set as a passer persisted.
Ultimately, Milroe did hear his name called, but not until Friday’s Round 3 selections. The Seattle Seahawks ultimately grabbed Milroe with the 92nd overall pick as the 4th QB off the board but ahead of Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders who was still undrafted at the night’s end.
So, how does Milroe feel about having to wait until the tail end of Day 2 to hear his name called? He was asked by the media shortly after the pick if he had a message for the teams that passed on him, and it was short and sweet from Milroe.

We’ll see if he gets a chance down the road to deliver on his ominous warning.
