Eddie Hearn believes there is still a chance Chris Eubank Sr attends his son’s fight with Conor Benn on Saturday night.
Eubank Sr has distanced himself from the grudge match that will see Chris Eubank Jr and Benn square off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over 30 years after their fathers’ epic duels.

In fact, he has only spoken to his son once in two years following an acrimonious split.
Eubank Sr had acted as a mentor and trainer for his son in the early stages of his career.
But their relationship turned sour after Eubank Jr opted to go about it on his own.
Despite this, Benn’s promoter Hearn admits he wouldn’t be surprised if Eubank Sr was drawn in by the glitz and glamour of the event.
“The Eubank Jr and Eubank Sr stuff is very sad,” Hearn told talkSPORT Drive at the ceremonial weigh-in on Friday afternoon.
“There is life beyond boxing, and hopefully, those guys can connect.
“But I said to my old man [Barry Hearn], could you imagine if I was a fighter and I was involved in something like this and you weren’t there.
“If I told you not to come, you would still come. And the fact that you fought this guy’s dad.
“Something in my mind tells me that Eubank is going to walk out with his son.

“But Eubank loves the big stage, he loves the big entrance.
“Can you imagine if the lights go down and he is there?”
It isn’t just a difficult father-son relationship that reduces the likelihood of Eubank Sr turning up tomorrow night, the former two-weight world champion is also emphatic in his opposition to the fight itself.
“I will not be an accomplice to their stupidity, their circus,” he told Seconds Out last week.
“It’s against the rules what is happening, 147lbs fighting 160lbs is against the rules.

“That boy [Brook] had his eye socket smashed. For promoters, it is just a game, but to the warriors, it is a way of life.

“If you are not clever and you are not noble, this [boxing] will kill you, this vocation, what they call sport.
“If you don’t play it right already, Conor, you don’t have a career to enjoy.”

More than 30 years after their dads fought each other, Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn finally meet in the ring.
