According to Hello!, the royal couple will be going by different titles during their special trip, using their titles as Duke and Duchess of Rothesay. William and Kate inherited the titles from King Charles and Queen Camilla when the former ascended to the throne after Queen Elizabeth II's death.
The special title is reportedly mandated to be used when the heir apparent to the British throne is in Scotland. The title is named after the town of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, but it has no direct connection to any land or property there. The first Duke of Rothesay was David Stewart in 1398.
William and Kate will be in Scotland on the date of their 14th wedding anniversary, April 29, and the day after.
