Chris Eubank Jr has made a mockery of boxing – he should be in no position to fight Conor Benn this weekend.
That’s the view of his own dad Chris Eubank Sr, who has sensationally called for the British Boxing Board of Control to revoke his licence over his infamous egg slap.

It comes after their scheduled October 2022 bout fell through due to Benn failing two drug tests, testing positive for banned substance clomifene.
Citing an ‘over-consumption of eggs’ as the reason for the adverse findings, Benn was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing by the UK Anti-Doping Agency following a two-year battle.
Still, it was at the forefront of Eubank Jr’s mind in their press conference in February, where he slapped his rival with an egg across his face.
He was ultimately fined £100,000 as a result – punishment that wasn’t as severe as his famous father has demanded.
Eubank Sr, who told his son to his face he ‘doesn’t condone’ his actions, recently branded the fighter as ‘disgraceful’ over what he did.
And he has now gone one step further during his appearance on SunSport’s No Glove Lost show, as he said: “He must have his licence revoked.”
Fellow panellist George Groves – a former foe of Eubank Jr having outpointed him in 2018 – defended his ex-rival, stating he has been punished ‘pretty severely’.
Not having it, Eubank Sr snapped back: “What, £100,000?”
After Groves insisted that it was ‘a lot of money’, Eubank Sr fired back: “A lot of money?

“But it’s nothing to him because of the money that he’s actually earning.
“But what he’s doing is sending a message out there which makes a mockery of boxing.
“And you are not looking at that and I don’t know why you’re not looking at that.”
Elsewhere, Eubank Sr has also insisted that the upcoming boxing bonanza is undoing the legacy between his two epics battles with Nigel Benn – Conor’s father.
While Eubank Jr has fought for the majority of his career at middleweight, Benn will be jumping two weight classes for the bout – where he is then expected to drop back down to welterweight.

Commenting on Benn’s weight jump, he remarked: “Who are you? So the rules don’t apply to you, is this it?
“Do the rules apply to him, or is he exempt? Because of Matchroom. These rules are actually put in place to protect us.
“What Conor is doing there is madness, it’s insane.”
Eubank Sr then added: “These two young men are trashing what me and Mr [Nigel] Benn did.
“They’re trashing it, and the public are following it because, ‘Oh, it’s just entertainment.’
“It’s not entertainment, it’s a standard-bearing vocation.”
