Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus’ apparent romance has taken Us — and many celebrities — by surprise.
Hurley, 59, and Cyrus, 63, nearly broke the internet on Sunday, April 20, with their joint Instagram post succinctly captioned, “Happy Easter .”
In the snap, Cyrus, wearing a pair of green bunny ears, gave Hurley a kiss on her cheek while they posed on a farm.
While neither the country singer nor the British actress further detailed their relationship, Hurley previously teased their connection in an April 9 social media post.
“The most glorious sunset in the glorious Maldives ,” Hurley wrote alongside a bikini pic, tagging Cyrus’ account. The picture was set to his song “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore.”
Elizabeth Hurley’s Dating History: Hugh Grant, Steve Bing and More
Hurley, who previously dated Hugh Grant and Shane Warne, has only been married once to Indian businessman Arun Nayar from 2008 to 2010, but she doesn’t know whether she’d ever walk down the aisle again.
“I’d definitely be open to the idea of being loved, loving someone, having someone fantastic in my life and sharing it,” Hurley told Tatler in February 2020. “I don’t know if marriage comes into that to be honest, because I’m not going to have more children, and I don’t need anyone to pay my bills or give me a roof over my head. But I would like someone for companionship, fun.”
Courtesy of Elizabeth Hurley/InstagramCyrus, meanwhile, has been married three times: to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991, to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2022 and to Firerose for seven months in 2023. (The Grammy winner shares five kids with ex Tish, in addition to son Christopher with Kristin Luckey.)
“Mr. Cyrus is relieved to put this nightmare behind him,” the singer’s attorney told Us Weekly in a 2024 statement once his divorce from Firerose was finalized. “Further, a couple of weeks ago, prior to mediation, Ms. Hodges legally changed her last name from ‘Hodges’ to ‘Cyrus.’ Mr. Cyrus feels that this validates his assertion that his ex-wife’s sole impetus for marrying him was to obtain his last name.”
