The moment came when James expressed his frustration over a no-call on a jump shot in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers star fell to the floor in front of the referee in protest, before Bilas claimed it was out of James’ nature to react poorly to a missed call.

Bilas said: “LeBron James thought he got hit on that jump shot, and I think he did. And he’s not a complainer.”

That last part drew the attention of social media users, who disagreed with the notion that James doesn’t make a fuss.

One fan said: “What is he talking about LeBron complains all the time?”

A second wrote: “Nobody complains more than Lebron, other than maybe Luka.”

A third said: “This guy lost all credibility. The most foolish statement of all time.“

While a fourth added: “I guess you haven’t watched LeBron complain to the ref for the past two decades. Where have you been?”

Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas hilariously chimed in with a video mocking the idea that James is not a complainer.

Arenas posted a photo of the Lakers star on one knee “begging” for a call from a referee.

All of this, of course, as the Lakers were obliterated by the Timberwolves 117-95 in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff.

The loss marked the worst margin of defeat in a Game 1 home loss in Lakers history.

It was also the worst Game 1 loss in the first round for James in his legendary 20-year career.

The four-time NBA champion finished the night with 19 points, five rebounds and two steals, while shooting just 1-for-5 from three.

James and the Lakers will try to rebound when they host the Timberwolves in Game 2 on Tuesday.
