Chennai Super Kings are having a torrid time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. They are reeling at the bottom half of the table, and to qualify for the playoffs of the tournament is very difficult for them, as they need to win all their games from now on.
Chennai Super Kings posted a total of just 176 runs on the board, and it seemed that they would come up with a decent effort with the ball. However, that wasn't the case as Mumbai Indians batters in Rohit Sharma (76*) and Suryakumar Yadav (68*) slammed magnificent half-centuries to take their team home in the 16th over.

Harbhajan Singh, who was also there, talked about the poor auction strategy, saying that they had options, but they didn't pick them. He also said that the scouts of the team should be questioned as well. He explained:
"Thoda sa jo inke talent pool ko jo hunt karte hai unko bhi bitha ke puchhna chahiye ki bhai kya apne hume information di thi jiske chalte humne yeh logon ko select kiya that (CSK is a big tam. They had the options to pick those players in the auction. Even among the youngsters, they did not turn out to be game-changers. The talent scouts should be questioned about their preferences, because the selection was based on that)."
