Jaden Rashada has been in the transfer portal longer than most players. His search for a new home will reportedly turn to the ACC.
Chris Hummer and John Talty of CBS Sports reported Sunday that Rashada is set to visit North Carolina on Wednesday.

In December 2022, Rashada signed his National Letter of Intent with Florida. When a lucrative NIL deal fell apart, Rashada asked for his release from UF in January. The NIL deal, which got Rashada to flip from Miami to Florida, is the subject of an ongoing lawsuit involving Gators head coach Billy Napier and others.
Rashada signed with Arizona State in February 2023. He appeared in 3 games for the Sun Devils, going 44-of-82 passing (53.7% complete) for 485 yards, 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Ahead of the 2024 season, Rashada transferred to Georgia. He did not log any snaps with UGA.
Rashada entered the NCAA transfer portal during the 2024 winter window, but did not find a new team. He continued training over the last few months in hopes of landing an opportunity with a program looking to add to its QB room after spring practice.
UNC’s reported interest in Rashada is noteworthy, as recent reports had linked him to Group of 5 programs. Rashada has reportedly heard from Western Kentucky, UConn and Tulane, taking a visit to WKU.
Bill Belichick has been looking to the portal to build Carolina’s QB room this offseason. The Tar Heels most recently added South Alabama transfer quarterback Gio Lopez. UNC also has Max Johnson, a veteran starter returning from injury, and freshman enrollee Bryce Baker on the 2025 roster.
