On Thursday, BET Media Group revealed a collaboration between the HBCU product and Pro Football Hall of Famer Strahan and former NFL star Michael Vick.

Strahan’s company, SMAC Entertainment, has partnered with BET for a docuseries showing Vick’s journey as the Norfolk Spartans head football coach.

The Atlanta Falcons icon Vick will run Norfolk’s program after being a Fox NFL analyst for the previous nine years.

Vick left his role at Fox Sports following the Super Bowl 59 which was broadcast on the network in February.

“I know first-hand the power that HBCUs have on a community and the opportunity they give to so many student-athletes,” Strahan said.

“Michael Vick’s commitment to impacting these young men’s lives and passing along the gifts that football provided him is so inspiring.

“I’m excited for fans to join him on his journey with Norfolk State University.”

The series will give an unfiltered look at Vick’s transition into coaching, his bond with family, and the challenges of building a college football program at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).

Fans expressed their approval of Strahan’s venture over Vick.

“This is awesome! I look forward to seeing it,” one wrote.

“Congratulations to Michael Vick, I’m excited to watch this,” another commented.

“I can’t wait to see this. Should be exquisite,” a third said.

Vick became the 19th head football coach in Norfolk State history.

He’s a native of Virginia and a former NFL No. 1 overall draft pick.

Vick earned four Pro Bowl nods during his NFL tenure.
