Rocco Becht is the star quarterback at Iowa State, helping guide the Cyclones to a Big 12 Championship Game appearance in 2024. This offseason, Becht is putting some of his NIL funds to good use and was highlighted recently for that endeavor.
According to Brent Blum, the director of Iowa State’s NIL collective, Becht recently used his NIL earnings to donate entertainment systems and Xbox consoles to the pediatric rooms of Mary Greeley Medical Center. That’s a cool gesture for Becht to give back to a local facility in Ames, especially for a destination that treats pediatric patients.

Off the field, Becht is giving back in a powerful way. On the field, he’s trying to get the Cyclones back to another strong season in what will be his 3rd season as a starter for the program.
Across the past 2 seasons as the starter, Becht has thrown for over 6,600 yards and 48 touchdowns in a strong push for Iowa State. The cyclones are 18-9 overall in that time span, including the first-ever season with double-digit wins for the program in history with an 11-3 finish.
Becht ended the season as the Pop-Tarts Bowl MVP after throwing for 270 yards with 4 total touchdowns in a thrilling 42-41 win over Miami.
