A 43-year-old Longmont man found dead in a housing unit at Denver’s Downtown Detention Center died from a brain bleed caused by methamphetamine, according to an autopsy report.

An autopsy showed he died from an intracranial hemorrhage caused by the effects of methamphetamine and his death was an accident, a forensic pathologist with the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner wrote in the report.
Heart disease and emphysema were also contributing factors in his death, according to the autopsy.
