According to the report, US defenseofficials notified their Israeli counterparts of the upcoming pullout. Inresponse, Israel urged Washington to delay the move, warning that it couldcreate a “security vacuum” in Syria.
Turkiye’s Ministry of Defense had also accusedIsrael of conducting “provocative attacks” that threaten Syria’s territorialintegrity, and urged it to abandon what it described as “expansionistpolicies.”
Analysts say the US withdrawal couldsignificantly alter the balance of power in the region, giving greaterinfluence to Turkiye, Iran, and Russia.
