WrestleMania is WWE’s SuperBowl – so it makes sense to involve the GOAT Tom Brady for this weekend’s spectacle in Las Vegas.
The NFL legend has been a dream target for the wrestling giants since his retirement, and now it appears the stars are aligning.
WrestleMania will be held at the home of Brady-owned RaidersGettyCelebrity cameos in wrestling are a tale as old as time, with WrestleMania usually the perfect destination for any crossover.
From Muhammad Ali and Mr T in the event’s 1985 debut, the Show of Shows has since featured Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson, and even president Donald Trump.
However, the NFL has proven more than capable of providing the best of WrestleMania moments dating back to Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor beating Bam Bam Bigelow at WrestleMania XI.
Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson tested the waters last year, with Brady’s former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate Rob Gronkowski also involved at WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
Having seen a number of familiar faces earn their WWE showcase, it could now finally be time for the jewel in the NFL’s crown.
“I may be there,” Brady teased when asked about the possibility by Fox News Digital’s Ryan Gaydos.
“But it’s amazing what’s going on there, and it’s amazing what’s happening with WWE and all the different things surrounding that.”
Brady is currently a minority stakeholder in the Las Vegas Raiders, whose Allegiant Stadium home will play host to WrestleMania 41.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion shares close ties to UFC president Dana White, whose company merged with WWE in 2023.
While Triple H will be desperate to keep any Brady involvement under wraps, all the signs are pointing towards a main-event connection.
Brady could swap Wembley for the Allegiant StadiumGetty Gronkowski knew how to make his mark at WrestleManiaWWEUndisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has already made a public plea for the retired NFL quarterback to make an appearance at Mania.
“I was very shocked to see that [Brady had retired], not shocked as well because time comes for us all,” Rhodes said in 2023.
“Tom Brady needs to maybe find his way to WrestleMania, maybe find his way anywhere WWE. Tom, live it up now.
“There might be a future here.”
Two years on, Rhodes is still in the WrestleMania main-event, as he defends his title against John Cena, who has his own link to Brady.
16-time world champion Cena is a die-hard Patriots fan and pitched to collaborate with Brady last year.

“I sense that Tom’s a very creative guy,” Cena remarked on ESPN‘s First Take.
“He’s not only an accomplished athlete, but maybe a buddy comedy on the horizon. So, Tom, if you’re listening, I’m available and I take all calls, especially from Tom Brady.”
Mere months later, Cena narrated Brady’s New England Patriots Hall of Fame induction video.
With this set to be Cena’s last ever WrestleMania ahead of his guaranteed WWE Hall of Fame inclusion, it may be time for Brady to accept the invitation and return the favour this weekend…
