And NFL have chiefs have now confirmed when they plan to unveil the full season’s fixture schedule.
NFL VP of broadcast planning and scheduling, Mike North, revealed that he is aiming for a mid-May date.
He told It’s Always Gameday in Buffalo: “Somewhere in the May 13, 14 or 15 range is probably still our target.
“Are there some trades that are going to happen? We’re still waiting on a certain future Hall of Fame quarterback (Aaron Rodgers) to sign somewhere, maybe this year.
“Hopefully, a lot of that is known by draft day.”
There are plenty of changes afoot with the new season though.
There will be SEVEN international games – the most ever.
It will see the NFL head to new countries including the Republic of Ireland and Spain.
While Christmas Day will see an extra game feature on Amazon alongside Netflix’s double header.
But there are also issues to solve too, with key stakeholders battling for the rights of the Chiefs and Eagles rematch.
There could also be flexibility over the scheduling for Amazon’s Thursday Night Football show.
While organisers are keen to address the 2 per cent decline in regular-season ratings for last year.
