Jake Paul showed little interest in a potential fight with Butterbean when called out in a face-to-face meeting.
Boxing icon Butterbean – real name Eric Esch – became a phenom in the sport in his professional with the boxing fraternity obsessed with his physique and illusive KO power.
Butterbean is keen to face Paul and confronted him over a clashThe ‘King of the Four Rounders’ retired in 2013 having won 77 from his 91 fights, suffering with medical conditions which saw him unable to walk.
He remarkably shed nearly 200lbs from 515lbs to a career lowest 303lbs and is in the shape of his life.
As a result, the 58-year-old wants one more fight in the sport and called out YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul for a huge commercial clash.
Paul had yet to publicly acknowledge the call-out, instead focusing on his recent win over Mike Tyson.
But in a new interview with Undisputed, Esch revealed he spoke to Paul, but a bout now seems unlikely.
He said: “Jake Paul, we spoke after the Tyson fight.
“I said, ‘When are you going to fight me?’ He said, ‘I can’t, you’re a legend.’
“I can’t figure that one out. I’d fight Mike Tyson, and I’d love to fight Jake Paul.”
On his current shape, Esch added: “Look at me, I wasn’t even walking, and now I’m back doing what I love to do.
“If you believe in yourself, you can accomplish anything. I live by that.

Esch is set to make his wrestling return at a separate event next weekend in Las Vegas, on the same date as Wrestlemania.
But a boxing fight does look unlikely, particularly with Paul who now appears to have his focus on huge current fighting names.
The ‘Problem Child’ is generating seismic paydays for his bouts, including a mammoth $20million purse for his victory over Tyson.
He has already targeted two huge names this year including Canelo Alvarez, against whom a deal collapsed.
Paul was also set to fight Gervonta Davis but the bout has been delayed, while ‘Tank’ rematches Lamont Roach.

But an announcement over his next squared circle move will likely come in the coming week.
Esch is unlikely to feature for now, however it remains to be seen if he can eventually force his name into the narrative.
