(KRON) -- A small business in El Sobrante said it is reeling after its cannabis store was burglarized for the second time this year.
Walnut Creek police warn residents of scam about missing officerThe owners of Urban Soyal — the only Black-owned and run cannabis dispensary in Contra Costa County — were woken up to burglars breaking into their shop.
Surveillance video on April 3, just before 4 a.m., shows what appears to be eight masked suspects breaking in — armed with iron cutters to get through bars guarding store products.
Once inside, the owner said they start trashing the store and wiping out their inventory.
"Insurance is not going to cover the products that were stolen," said co-owner Dr. Ayoka Nurse. "It's still federally illegal. This is what criminals are banking on and this is what our competition is banking on as well."

"We did this with our own money, with our own investment dollars," said Dr. Nurse. "So when we get broken into, that means the next step within three months is we have to close our doors because we don't make the same kind of money corporate cannabis does."
In a January incident, thieves broke in and stole $40,000.
Dr. Nurse added, "We have to contend with corporate cannabis and then we also have to contend with the illicit market, including the smoke shops that are funneling the illicit market. When we came into this business, it was important to us to promote wellness, accessibility and quality."
The Contra Costa Sheriff's Office is investigating the case.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the business with its repairs.
