A thoughtfully engineered power bank that trades peak speed for practical versatility, durability, and multi-device charging convenience.
buy from amazonFinding reliable power banks can be tricky. There are a lot of companies out there that make power banks, but some of them make a substandard product. That’s not the case with the Biolite Charge 100 Max.
The BioLite Charge 100 Max is a high-capacity, versatile portable power bank designed to keep multiple devices powered during your travels or remote work. With a robust 25,000mAh battery, it can charge laptops, tablets, smartphones, earbuds, smartwatches, and more. The device features a magnetic wireless charging deck, three USB-C ports—including two with 100W output—and one USB-A port, allowing simultaneous charging of up to five devices.
Despite its substantial capacity, the Charge 100 Max maintains a compact design that is FAA compliant, making it suitable for carry-on luggage. For quick recharging, pairing it with BioLite’s 65W GaN Fast Charger enables a full recharge in under 90 minutes.

User Experience
The Charge 100 Max comes in a standard retail-style box. There is a brightly colored image of the product on the front and details on the sides and back. When you open the box, you’ll find the power bank, a USB-C charging cable and some information on the power bank. The power bank is substantial in size. It’s thick and its larger in length than my iPhone 16 Pro. There is a magnetic charging pad on the top of the power bank and I was able to charge my iPhone on it.
One of the things I noticed about this power bank that is a little different is that you have to press the power button in order to activate charging for connected devices. The power bank detects when nothing is drawing a charge and it shuts off after a short period of time. I like this feature because it prevents unwanted battery drain and prolongs the life of the power bank.
In order to test the charging capabilities of the Charge 100 Max, I plugged in my Apple Watch using the USB-A port and my iPhone using one of the USB-C ports in the 100W out area. Both devices charging simultaneously and received nearly 30% battery charge during a 32 minute charging session. Their final charging rates were 0.91% per minute (iPhone) and 0.84% per minute (Apple Watch). These results, while respectable, were below peak industry fast-charging speeds. For comparison, iPhones can reach up to ~1.67% per minute and Apple Watches up to ~1.78% per minute under ideal conditions. The lower rates observed may be due to factors like battery optimization, device temperature, or charging beyond 50% where speeds naturally taper off.
Despite the lower-than-normal charging rates, the Biolite Charge 100 Max still impresses me given its rugged build quality and ample charging connections. I love that you can connect up to 5 devices at one time (three USB-C, one USB-A, and one wireless charging) to charge simultaneously. It’s a great option for travelers.
Conclusion
The BioLite Charge 100 Max is a thoughtfully designed, high-capacity power bank that checks nearly every box for travelers and remote workers who need to keep multiple devices powered. While its real-world charging speeds fall short of the fastest benchmarks, its build quality, charging versatility, and smart power-saving features make it a dependable companion. The ability to charge five devices at once, combined with a sleek, carry-on-friendly design and fast recharging (when paired with a 65W charger), makes it stand out in a crowded market of portable batteries. For those who value reliability and flexibility over sheer speed, the Charge 100 Max is a top-tier choice.
