Recently, my hometown experienced a severe storm outbreak, and we had to take refuge in our storm safe place for several hours. As I packed my essentials, my laptop, iPad, and iPhone were non-negotiable. However, I knew I’d also need a charger to keep everything powered. If you’re anything like me, you’re tired of carrying multiple chargers for different devices.

That’s why I’ve started using high-powered GaN chargers with multiple ports. In this situation, where space was limited and every ounce counted, carrying one charger instead of three made all the difference. The CUKTECH N0.10 100W GaN Charger proved to be a fast, reliable, and compact solution, offering a simple yet efficient way to keep my devices charged when it mattered most.

User Experience

CUKTECH’s products have simple, minimalist packaging. They are somewhere between factory packaging and retail-ready boxes. There is an illustration of the charger on the front along with an icon that indicates that a Type-C cable is included and another one that indicates that GaN 3 technology is being used. GaN3 is the third generation of Gallium Nitride technology that brings increased efficiency, smaller sizes, and improved thermal management over previous GaN chargers.

When I pulled the charger out of the box I found that it was pleasantly designed. The main body of the charger is gray with a smaller black box that surrounds the charging ports. That black box has a small turquoise stripe around it that really sets the design apart from other GaN chargers that are typically just a stale black or gray color. The cable that comes with it is a standard USB-C to USB-C cable. The specs included with the charger state that it’s a “high-quality 4.92ft PD3.1-240W cable that provides a maximum of 100W power.” I’ve been working to weed out older USB-C cables from my collection so this is refreshing to know exactly what this particularly cable is.

My testing subject this time around is my 12.9-inch 6th Gen iPad Pro. In order to get a good charge for it, you need to at least use a 30W charger. I plugged it into the CUKTECH charger and tests the voltage/amps using a USB Digital Tester. It showed that the output charge from the charger was 14.9V / 2.3 A. It was fluctuating a bit on the amperage, but the voltage stayed pretty steady.

For the next 30 minutes, I checked the charging progress every 10 minutes and noted it so that I could get an accurate real-time charging rate. I also monitored the temperature of the charger. It remained cool the entire time I was testing the charging rate. Upon completion of the charging test, the iPad had gained 34% and had a charging rate of 1.13% per minute. The industry standard charging rate for a 6th Gen 12.9-inch iPad Pro typically falls within the range of 0.8% to 1.5% per minute when using a fast charger. My experience is typically closer to the lower end of that range. So, I was very happy with these results.

Conclusion

The CUKTECH N0.10 100W GaN Charger is a high-quality, efficient, and compact charger that delivers impressive charging speeds while maintaining a cool temperature throughout use. Its use of GaN3 technology ensures improved efficiency and smaller form factors, while the charger’s intelligent power distribution helps safely charge multiple devices at once. If you’re looking for a reliable, travel-friendly charging solution for multiple devices, this charger offers great value for its price, making it a worthy addition to any tech enthusiast’s collection.
